Hello and Welcome to Against Everything, a Draco and Hermione Fanfiction Archive

I adore this layout - it is my favorite color (green) and it is Draco / Hermione. Oh, and that image up top people? I spent hours on that. HOURS. So enjoy!

This layout is very green. It seems like those two would not look good in front of any other background except those beautiful spring trees, so that is were the green came from. It probably is too much green... oh, and then I had the nerve to make Hermione's shirt green. What was I thinking? Anyway, this layout stands out from the other ones that I have made, simply because I tried a softer looking approach to the layout. Yes, and those are double borders you are seeing. Aren't they cool? Yay!

Warnings!

As usual, the bottom is adjustable. So, one with the speech: "First, the background in the content is a set width. So if you have a really long page or a really short page and it doesn't fit the green, then you will have to change the height in the CSS style. It isn't that hard; just find "#divbody" and change the height." Okay. I really need to find a way to make these layouts so that the end has like, and end to it. But anyway.

And of course, the navigation speech: "Another thing is this - your navigation won't always end up nice an even with your body at the bottom, so don't add links or cut off your page just to try to make everything end at the same time. I'd be nice, but I don't think any layout works like that. Just a tip, actually, so you don't drive yourself crazy." Okay.

Oh, and don't mind the links right now. I set the "a:visited" to line-through, and technically, you are visiting the page. So the normal links are the same color without the strike through. Okay, we are clear on that.

Extras

I made a 80x80 avatar and a banner for this one. Yeah, I know, not much. But here they are anyway.

How It Was Done

Omigod, this layout wasn't even thought about when I started the pictures. The Hermione one I did first; then later I got a good Draco pic from the internet. Eventually, I wove them together. And then, I had to make it look like they were actually acknowledging each other, and not to mention even a part of the same picture. So that is way it took hours - getting the lighting right, making them look older, redoing the hair and clothes, fixing the skin tones.... all that took forever.

The actual layout part was the easiest. A few artistic-looking things were added and bam! You have a layout! And the CSS was actually kind of difficult, because color combos were difficult to choose.
