Famous People / Figures Layouts

Most of the images that I use in these layouts are of famous people, though about half of them are Nanase Aikawa alone (me, a fan? How could you tell?) and the rest are either another Japanese pop star or famous actress. I hope to get more male figure layouts sometime, and maybe more musicians, but for now, here they are.

Pixel Perfect

This is a div layer layout featuring Megan Fox. It uses my Tech Brushes, as well as a few fractal brushes, I think. It comes with two images and a CSS style sheet. This one is a clear example of how brushes completely change a layout and give it a theme. Creating this layout wasn't going so well until I used the brushes, and after that it was almost smooth sailing.

Flight

A Marylin Monroe layout. This one is not iframe, but I can make it so if it is desired. This layout was inspired by old postcards, though in the end it turned out to look nothing like an old postcard. I used a monumental amount of brushes on this before I was satisfied, but it turned out okay.

MoreThanDestiny

This is a Claire Forlani layout - the twins in the top graphic are actually Arlene Sainz and Cierra Ramirez, twin sisters in Valcentica, which is an online Harry Potter RP site. Claire has beautiful eyes, and I love working with pictures of her. You might see more layouts of her in the future.

Her Edward

This layout features Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen from the new Twilight movie, in theaters December 12th, 2008. The images are both in the teaser trailer, which I have watched numerous times in order to pick out what I like the most about the movie so far (even though the trailer is 58 seconds long.) This is a div layer layout with a fixed background.

Beautiful People

A div layer layout featuring Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette. I'm not too fond of this layout; I think it needs a little more depth. But here it is anyway. It is a div layer layout with a style sheet and one image. I can add anything to this layout if someone wants it, since I know that it is kind of plain. But it will stay as it is for now.

Glastnost

GlastnostThis is a layout created using Photoshop. It is geared towards art websites. Iframe layout with a content block and navigation block. I used two images for this one, both pictures of the earth taken from space. I still like this layout, though I created it last year.

Design: Iframe, Iframe navigation
Features: ... a random eye. And the planet Earth.

Furtive

This one is a sequel to "Clandestine." I was at a loss for what to call it, so I grabbed a thesaurus and looked up synonyms for clandestine. "Furtive" was the only one that sounded any good. I got a little frustrated playing with the picture of Nanase Aikawa. I was originally going to put in a different picture, but I used this one instead. I deliberately made the colors contrast the ones in "Clandestine" and I wanted a warmer gray color to go with the orange.

Glorious Twilight

This one is a sequel to "Vociferous Chaos." As you can see, it is in the same format and style, only it has a different image and different colors. I modeled the colors off of the fact that the woman looked really weird when I tried to make hair for her, so I made the background the same colors as her hair. It worked out. The pink and peachy colors come from her blouse. Since the title was "Glorious twilight," I added stars to fit with the name.

Clandestine

This one is one of my best layouts. The woman is Nanase Aikawa from the cover of her album "Lovin' You." I worked on this one a lot an eventually churned this layout out. It was the first of its kind (for me.) I really like the contrast of the colors. The reason why the background is gray is because I couldn't find anything that matched better than that. A few people have expressed that the gray makes the layout very bland looking, but i still like it.

Vociferous Chaos

I really like this one. The picture is of BoA, I think. I had to add some hair to her because a bit of the top of her head was cut off, but it turned out fine. I don't know how much sense the name makes, but it sounds cool. I made the colors bland on purpose to match the graphic; I just circled the layout around the picture, using what colors I could to match with it. And as has been the case for a while now, I am using the code from my website as the base code.

Clairvoyant

This is another Nanase Aikawa one. This is where the layouts I was making started to evolve a bit. This one isn't as flat looking as the rest, and the colors are nice. The font is super small, but the layout is geared to young people, so whatever. If you look closely at the layout, there are actually four pictures of Nanase embedded inside. Can you see them all?

Ingenuous

This is one of the ones that I planned before I made, and the result turned out almost exactly like the plan. I have these great pictures of Nanase Aikawa, so I used one to put on the side. The layout looks really one-dimensional, but it gets the job done.

Aphrodite's Cloud

This layout took a while to make, or at least the graphics part did. It has a fixed image in the background with the text floating on top of it. I drew the picture completely on the computer, with no scanning. I also did the columns completely in Photoshop. I had a slight absence of blue layouts (I had only one), and I had already planned to make one called "Clouds", so that is where this came from.

Against Everything

This layout is a Draco/Hermione layout. I got the idea from all the Draco/Hermione fanfiction I have read. The name "Against Everything" actually belonged to one of my other layouts, but I think the name suited this one too. The picture of Draco and Hermione in this one took absolutely forever to make. I had to almost completely redo Hermione, and I had to do a lot of hue and saturation tuning on them. I was really proud of this one, because I made Draco and Hermione interact a bit.

Sound of Music

This is an Alicia Keys layout. The picture was on her website about two years ago, and I saved it onto my computer, because I knew eventually I would have some use for it. And I was right! I made some minor CSS breakthroughs on this layout. I don't know what a person would use this layout for. Maybe it could be a site that offers sheet music or something. The layout is DIV layer.

Moment of Peace

This is an InuYasha layout. I chose this picture because it looks like he hasn't a care in the world at the time - if he did, he would be doing something more productive than picking at Buyo's ear. The colors really suit this DIV layer layout. Before, it looked kind of like your average manufactured layout all the rest of the layout sites have, so I added a bit more texture, and I think it turned out nice.

Fearless

This is a Hermione layout. I thought "fearless" described Hermione very well. And that picture took me a while to photoshop. I did it over the course of one month. I thought that the green looked really good here. I also made some CSS breakthroughs on this one with positioning. The scenery behind Hermione was a picture taken by my grandmother. I do a lot of that, don't I? It is DIV layer.
